My BC Shift Poem

Hi friends,

Today i am doing double shift. That means from 1430hours until 0730hours (following day). It's 17hours shift. Trust me, it's soo tiring. Since soo tired, i came up with a poem.

Salam sejahtera saya mulakan,

Penat minda and juga badan,

Buat B dan C sgt memenatkan,

Ingin mengelak kalau dizinkan…

Diam-diam ubi berisi,

Main game x boleh TM policy,

C shift nie masi muda lagi,

Nasib baik boleh ber-FB..

Dengan ini saya berhenti,

Kalau tesilap bahasa tolong maafkan,

Kalau masa dan minda mmbenarkan lagi,

Pantun satu lagi akam dipersembahkan…

Now the time is 0200hours. Still got 5 and 30 minutes to go. May be today i will some interesting stuffs later.

My first ever short film

"Iru Pathaigal"..this was my first ever short movie..

This short film was created especially for Astro Tamil Short Film Competition 2009 but unfortunately didn't make it to finals.

Our real birthdays ( according Tamil calendar)

Hi frens.. we all celebrating our birthdays according english calendar. For example, if i born on 11.09 then every year 11.09 is my birthday. But according to Tamil calendar it wont be the same every year. Below is the findings from my research.

In Tamil calendars, there are 12 months with the number of days in a month varies from 29 and32.

The following list compiles the months of the Tamil Calendar

So, in every month there will be 27 stars will represent each day. For example, Ashwini star on Chittirai Month will represent a specific day. Below is the list of stars.

• Poosam
• Aayilyam
• Makam
• Pooram
• Uthiram

So, if you know your star, your can predict your exact birthday every year. For example, my birthday will be on Ashwini star @ Aavani month. I understand that it's not practical to celebrate birthday on different date every year, but we should know how our calendar system works.

If you don't 'stop' a USB device before unplugging it from a PC, you'll screw things up.

This is one of my favorite topic. I think this is one of the PC biggest Myth. Since i didn't have nothing to do, i decided to do some research about it.

According to microsoft, unplugging a USB device without stopping it shouldn't affect the system. But the negative part of it is when you unplugged a USB while the system still writing on it, then it may cause major damage to your device and system.

So, unplugging USB device after it stops writing data wont affect your system. This Myth is BUSTED.

Turning off your PC daily to save power shortens its life.

Here's a topic that provokes debate. One side argues that turning the PC on and off stresses components (Processors life span : 10 years). The other side says it's a good thing; even the best programs and the OS can get cranky without occasional shutdowns. ( As you can see your windows get slower and slower).

Tips:

If you're using Windows XP, right-click the desktop, choose New, Shortcut, typeshutdown -s -t 00, click Next, give the shortcut a name (for example, Shutdown), and click Finish. Next time you need to shut down, click the shortcut icon.

So, next time when you realize your windows is slow, just restart your machine. :)

My Birthday @ 11.09.2010

11.09.2010...Today is my 23rd birthday. First time in my life, i celebrated it in my office while troubleshooting a case. Since my brother also went to Japan, so i was at home alone. Quite strange to be alone on birthday, but i think i was enjoying my day. My facebook wall was full of posts wishing me happy birthday. Actually i was shocked when i saw post from my manager (:P) and few unknown friends. Anyway, thanks alot for the wishes.

Actually this year i was sharing my bday with lord ganesh. It's called "vinayagar chaturthi". It means lord ganesha's birthday....So, in the evening i went to temple (opposite my apartment) before went to sister's hse in bukit tinggi.

It was quite sad to work on my bday night but so far there is no case..so happy la..:D..

This year also few of my best buddies didnt wish me...i still dun understand how come they forget it....hmm...i knw it's sound silly..so let's forget about it...anyway, overall this birthday was another memorable birthday in my life....cu all in next post..
